On the way to Pharma 4.0: Digitization of Japanese pharma & biotech production
Lüneburg, Germany / Tokyo, Japan, 24 February 2020 – Around 50 representatives of the Japanese pharmaceutical and biotech industry came together at the invitation of Werum IT Solutions for the Manufacturing Excellence Day Japan, which took place in Tokyo on 20 February.
Under the motto "Pharma 4.0 – Go Digital", the participants could expect an exciting conference program consisting of keynote lectures, product presentations, customer case studies and many networking opportunities.

The highlights of the program included keynotes from Amazon Web Services Japan about the spread of cloud solutions in various industries and from Takeda about digitizing and automating its production processes with the help of Werum’s solutions.
In addition to its standard software product PAS-X MES, Werum presented relevant solutions for the Japanese market, such as PAS-X MSI Plug & Produce for easy integration of machines, K.ME-IN for smart biometric operator authentication, PAS-X KPI / OEE for real-time monitoring of production lines and the planning tool PAS-X Finite Scheduling. Other topics included the use of PAS-X in the cell & gene therapy industry and MES from the cloud.
